Telehouse Vietnam’s 2N data center (FPT IS) with two independent power supplies is the highest standard data center in Telehouse’s global system. Dual-Power Feeds is a term in data center design and operation to talk about 2N data centers, which means ensuring 1-to-1 redundancy from the input power source to the devices on the rack, replacing because of partial N+1 redundancy. The center is located on an area of over 1,000 m2 at the FPT building in Cau Giay, Hanoi, with a system of 2 transformer stations and medium voltage cabinets with an electrical capacity of 2×1.2 Megawatt, 1:1 backup for solutions such as UPS, generators. In addition to dual power supplies, Telehouse Vietnam’s new data center will also be applied with smart and highly secure solutions, thanks to new technologies such as magnetic cards, FaceID, eKYC for security control. in and out. The system applies AI technology to monitor over 4,000 parameters, thereby optimizing power capacity and operational capabilities. This also helps customers when renting servers to pay according to actual power consumption levels, instead of paying according to the highest limit, nominal capacity, as usual. According to the General Director of Telehouse Vietnam, a special feature of the new center’s design is that the technical operation space is built completely separate from the data storage rack space. This helps all maintenance work not affect the Data Hall area, minimizing risks to customers’ system safety.

“This is a design that few data centers in Vietnam today have. At the same time, the center in Hanoi is also the place with the highest operating standards among Telehouse’s 47 centers worldwide at the time of launch,” Mr. Cuong affirmed. 2N power source is one of the important criteria that helps data centers in Vietnam approach the highest international standards. Having two independent, parallel power supplies ensures that even if there is a power line problem, the system still operates safely and without interruption. “Customers will benefit because downtime approaches 0, stability reaches 99.9995% and meets Tier 4 standards,” said Mr. Tran Anh Tuan – Deputy General Director in charge of technical affairs at Telehouse Vietnam. At the event, Telehouse Vietnam also announced a partnership with HGC Global – Hong Kong’s largest Wi-Fi service provider.
